As a group effort, almost
half of the company found time on a Saturday to volunteer and participate
with the Master Builders Association (MBA) and Kirkland Interfaith
Transitional Housing (KITH), a local Kirkland charity, to begin the
remodeling of a Kirkland 4-plex.
The Mission: Remove the
worn and poorly installed siding, to make ready for a complete
re-installation with new materials.
A larger task than any of
the team expected; we tackled the project with excitement and enthusiasm.
When we were summoned to a scrumptious lunch provided by KITH, it was
shocking for all of us to realize that we had completed the large removal
task within two hours, with approximately 20 people working together!
The only mission left
after lunch was to load the dumpsters with debris, and once accomplished,
we were all rewarded with rest of our sunny Saturday to enjoy! The reward
of Teamwork in action!
We would like to say thank
you to the MBA for helping us begin our annual practice of giving back to
our community, and to the KITH charity for their continuous community
efforts.
An enjoyable and rewarding
process for our willing TEAM! |
